FC Mobile beta warms up for the season ahead

An FC Mobile beta is showing some players the ropes in EA’s rebranded mobile soccer simulator, but there are only limited places available.

With the split between FIFA and EA Sports forcing a name change in the latter, a new era is beginning with the FC Mobile beta, with the developer preparing to leave FIFA Mobile behind. With just a few weeks until soccer season arrives, it’s a big time for EA and its flagship football games, with high expectations for the next generation of mobile eleven-a-side.

The FC Mobile limited beta is open from now until August 31, but if you haven’t yet signed up, it may already be too late. EA has already sent out TestFlight links to those signed up for iOS, while the Android beta is only available in Canada, Malaysia, Australia, and Romania at the time of writing. Still, if you’re an Apple user, it’s worth heading over to the official EA Sports site to see if you can sign up before the masses.

If you can’t get into the FC Mobile beta, we can at least cheer you up by sharing a few of the fancy features you can expect in the upcoming mobile sports sim. There’s a new elite shooting system, allowing you finer control over the ball when aiming for the net, plus authentic player personalities, new dynamic camera options for watching back your best goals, and all the famous faces from the Premier League and beyond.

While the news of a beta is exciting, we’re hoping for an FC Mobile release date soon, with no clear idea of when the game is going to launch as of yet. We’re expecting an update before long, though, with the FC 24 Switch release date set for the end of September, and seemingly no plans for FIFA Mobile to branch out into the rapidly approaching next soccer season.
